The departments of BAMMC & BAFTNMP act like a catalyst in the glorious transformation of the cocoons into talented butterflies, who further spread their colourful wings to soar the skies. The academic year 2022-23 started with gusto as it was full-fledged offline affair after the Covid pandemic
A guest lecture on ‘Ad Film Making’ was conducted on the 29th of June, 2022 by Mr. Bhanu Babbal, a celebrated director and writer whose profile boasts of more than 150 commercials including advertisem*nts for PayPal, Lux, Uber, Flipkart, etc. The 165 attendees were guided by him on the significance of the content and its message as well as the format curated specifically for adfilms.
An insightful seminar on "Filmmaking" was conducted on 1st July, 2022 by Mr. Dikshant Sharma, a well-experienced writer, cinematographer and director. More than 75 students attained the provision of intricate, multidimensional knowledge as they found their true aspirationsforfilmmaking.
A guest lecture with the famed director and writer, Sajid Samji took place on 15th July, 2022. With 216 attendees, the seminar educated the aspirants present on ins and outs of the film industry. With his huge bundle of experience, he let the attendees have some souvenirs of his journey that were presented by him in such a way that the students could relate to it despite being from different generations.
An insightful training session was organized with Sony’s Digital Imaging Marketer, Mr. Sunil Gawai on 26thof July, 2022 and was attended by more than 140 students. Mr. Gawai equipped the students with the knowledge of cinematography and the frames through which a DOP expresses his/her creativity and vision.
A practically-induced Photography Trek to Palasdari, Karjat was organised on 9th August, 2022. Approximately 130 students accompanied by NSS P.O. Sushil Shinde, travelled for the all-encompassing trip with knowledge, skills and a fresh breath imbibed in it. The unconventional feature saw the observant students enchanted by nature's beauty in attempts of capturing frames under the theme of"miniatures".
26th August, 2022 was the fateful day when the department of BAMMC & FTNMP welcomed the soon-to-be-bloomed buds of the year. The theme "Comic-con" allowed the students to dress up like their favourites. The day was filled with glamourous performances as is the identity of the departments.
An environmental conscience-infused initiative was taken on 7th September, 2022 by the Departments in association with Khushiyaan Foundation to plan a Beach-cleaning Drive. Around 30 students put in strenuous efforts to eliminate waste and collected nearly 25 buckets of garbage.

The students of SYBAMMC and SYFTNP were taken on an industrial visit from 18th December, 2022 to 21st December, 2022 to Panchgani and Mahabaleswar where they visited the Go Cheese factory.
An entertaining and interactive "Acting Workshop" helmed by the seasoned expert, Mr.Ranjay Kumar took place on 23rd December, 2023. His socio-economic initiative "har-ghar actor" aims to equip financially backward classes with dreams of becoming actors. His eulogies and participatory activities enabled students and faculty members to actively contributetothesession.
A special guest lecture titled “Advertising in Modern World” was organised on 7th January 2023 by industry professionals Mrs Aparna Mehrotra and Kartik Kaushik. They expertly covered the basics of advertising and marketing through understandable language and discussing their personal experiences. The lecture was then followed by a brief presentation on some of the best ad campaigns around the world. Around 63 Students from BAMMC and BAFTNMP departments attended the lecture.
A seminar on ‘Dream Interpretation’ was organised on the 18th of January, 2023. The guest lecturer, Ms Nuzhat Jahan is an acclaimed author and corporate attorney turned dream interpreter. She gave the students insights on importance of dreams and the meaning behind them. 102 students attended the seminar from both BAMMC and BAFTNMP.
The students of BAMMC & FTNMP had the opportunity to be graced with the presence of four esteemed industry professionals. Acclaimed writer and director Sajid Samji, seasoned editor Vaibhav Desai, passionate cinematographer Shaizad Ali and well-known screenplay and dialogue writer Vinod Rangnath conducted workshops on the 31st of January, 2023 and the students could choose their topics of interest.
The students of BAMMC and FTNMP bid their seniors a final goodbye on the 3rd of March, 2023. They organised ‘Nazrana X Falsafa’, the official farewell gathering which followed the theme ‘Shahi Mizaaj’. The batch of 2023 witnessed brilliant performances put together by their juniors.

Anushka Sen of TYFTNMP is currently shooting for a Korean Film, an international project directed by Lee Jung-sub shot in Seoul and other Asian countries. Her accolades include the “Dada Sahab Phalke Award Films 2022”, “Youngest Indian Global Actor, Nov’22”, “Satyajit Ray Icon Cinema Award 2022”, and “Youngest Global Promising Actor, Dec’22 Nickelodeon”. She was also awarded the “Best Actress, Birmingham Film Festival” in June’22 for ‘Am I Next’ streaming on Zee5.
Ayush Panchal SYBAMMC won the Great Indian Entrepreneurship, Design, Business, and Start-up awards 2023.
Mazel Vyas of SYFTNMP worked in a short film ‘HIGHWAY NIGHTS’ (Short Film) -nominated for the “Oscars’, won “Dadasaheb Phalke International Award” & 15+ Film Festival Awards. She also shot the OTT Series named ‘Dahaad’ on Amazon Prime and the upcoming series ‘Memers’ for Sony Liv.
Ansh Sharma’s songs released on Spotify have 7000 plus fans, 1.5 lakh all-time listeners, and 1million streams. He also collaborated with India’s biggest professional gamer Scout.
Rudra Soni won a silver medal at the All India Open Karate championship held on 19th Feb. 2023
Yash Jain from SYFTNMP won the best photo award as the finalist of the first edition of Imagica’s World Photography Day contest. He also collaborated with Google Maps as a map guide which has user traffic of 200,000.
Prem Sapkal did backstage photography for Sunburn arena, was part of the video team for Neofox media, and Coverage team for Festivina Music Festival.
Dhanush Wagh worked as Asst. Cinematographer of the film ‘Nighty four’. Seven which won second prize at UNESCO’S 9th community radio and video challenge 2022
Veja Odedra of TYFTNMP secured 1st Position in Swami Vivekananda Research and PPT competition for Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari.
Jayesh Pawar has worked as an assistant Director under Mahesh Nene Productions for the upcoming multi-starrer Marathi film “Daak”.
Aditya Gupta of owns a Youtube Channel named Reloader’s TV that has over 2 million subscribers and three play buttons.
Aditya Gupta won 1st prize in Acting, awarded Best mascot and placed 2nd in rapping for the intercollegiate competition Miraki.
Sahil Ghonmode secured 2nd position in the event “Theatre of Threats” for LS Raheja College for Arts and Commerce.
Nandani Saraode stood 1st for singing and 2nd for Photography at Bollycom-2023 organized by Smt. Maniben MP Shah Women’s College of Arts and Commerce. Shivani Iyer won Ist Prize in singing competition held in the Intercollegiate fest Gyan Manthan by Royal College of Arts Science and Commerce. She also won 3rd Prize in singing competition held in the Intercollegiate fest Gyan Manthan by Royal College of Arts Science and Commerce.

Mahima Puthran of SYBAMMC graduated in Bharatnatyam with distinction-from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal on 6th May, 2023 and now is a Qualified Dance Teacher addressed as Vidushi Mahima Puthran.
