David Muir is an American journalist and the anchor of ABC World News Tonight and co-anchor of the ABC News magazine 20/20, part of the news department of the ABC broadcast television network, based in New York City. David Jason Muir was born on November 8, 1973 (age 48 years) in Syracuse, New York, United States. He is the son of a Roman Catholic family, Ronald Muir and his wife Pat Mill and grew up in Onondaga Hill. Muir has one older sibling Rebecca Muir and two younger step-siblings, as well as six nieces and three nephews.
