This cranberry banana smoothie recipe is perfect for cranberry lovers!
Did you know that it’s recently been proven that cranberries have the most antioxidants of any fruit? These little goodies are a nutritional powerhouse and definitely a superfood. Something I’d like to try and include in my eating plan on a daily basis if I could.
I recently did another cranberry smoothie that sort of got me hooked on them. They are just so tart and refreshing! So I decided to do another one. This one is even more tart, but still sweet enough to handle it. Just three ingredients and tons of antioxidants!
And if you prefer more sweet than tart, add either another banana or simply a bit of honey. Refreshing and delicious!
Isn’t clean eating wonderful???

I made this with unsweetened almond milk instead of coconut milk and it was deeee-licious! Thanks for the recipe 😀

Yes, it qualified. Just count the fruit towards your daily intake.
You CAN do this. You are stronger than a package of splenda!Reply
I like cranberries and never thought of adding it to a smoothie!

I had some cransberries I wanted to use up and came across your recipe. I didn’t know how it was going to taste but it was pleasantly smooth, just enough sweetness from the bananas to take away the sour of the cranberries. I say YES to this smoothie!

Any suggestions for what I can use in lieu of coconut milk in your recipes? I have recently started to develop serious food allergies, and coconut is one thing that I have to steer clear of.

Bev – In most cases, any type of milk will work. Particularly in smoothies. It will change the flavor, but any type will work.

Hi Gracious,
I have TJ’s 100% Cranberry juice…can I substitute that for the fresh? Additionally, can I find the coconut milk at TJ’s?
Thank you.

Lori – Sure, I think that would work. And yes, I get my coconut milk at TJ’s too. The stuff in the can. Just be sure it’s the green label. The light coconut milk. They have a coconut cream there with a brown and white label that is definitely not clean. Enjoy!

This smoothie tastes so great i just had to add a little bit of sweetener though!
Please note; I used real milk instead of coconut milk (since i hate coconut).
wonderful post!Reply
Phevfa – Wonderful! Glad you liked it! 🙂

The recipe is for 2 servings. How long can the 2nd serving be kept for and what to keep it in?
Reply
Denise – I would drink it the next morning and you could keep it in any air-tight container. Some sort of drink tumbler would be fine. I hope you enjoy it!

What do you think about using frozen cranberries?
Reply
Julie – I’m sure it would work fine! Though you’ll have to watch the smoothie for consistency. Maybe add a little more liquid as needed. 🙂

So delicious! Just slightly sweet and tart, which I love. Instead of drinking it, I made it into popsicles. So refreshing!Reply
Shari – Great idea! 😀 So happy you enjoyed it!
